Mrs. Graves
We are happy to introduce Mrs. LaSonja Graves as the counselor of Jefferson Davis County High School.
Jefferson Davis County is no strange place for me because this small county is where my foundation was built living with my parents, Roy and Bettie Drummond and eight siblings. I am a proud graduate of Prentiss High School Class of 1990. After high school I went to Jackson State University where I received a Bachelors Degree in Education, later attending the University of West Alabama where I earned my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, later returning to Jackson State to pursue a Specialist in School Counseling.
I have been in the field of education for over 18 years. My role as an educator has pushed me to encourage all children to strive for their personal best because no matter whom you are and how storms may have knocked you down, LIFE MATTERS! I am thrilled to be working with the students, teachers, administrators, and parents whom I so highly regard. Please do not hesitate to contact me for assistance. Wishing everyone a great 2019-2020 school year!
